All our staff holds a Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificate. In addition, all our personnel has been trained on EPI pen emergency treatments for allergy emergencies. We understand this may be a concern if your child has allergies. Our schools are nut-free, which—with today’s growing nut allergy among children—is an important concern for most parents.
Linda and Mari-Ann are the Founders and Directors of the Montessori of Plainfield and Montessori of Frankfort schools, overseeing its preschool, parent, and summer camp programs.
Linda has extensive and significant prior experience in the Montessori Method. This includes several years of teaching, camp counseling, and administration work at Seton Montessori Lab School and Hinsdale Montessori Lab School since 1991. She holds AMS credentials in Early Childhood Education. Linda has a yearly Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificates. She continues to stay abreast of new teaching methods and creative learning strategies.
Mari Ann attended Concordia University where she completed her Montessori training and child development classes. She graduated and received her Montessori certification in 1999. She continues to stay active in the classroom as a lead Directress, as well as the Plainfield Head of School. Mari Ann is committed to keeping herself updated on new methods and ideas of presenting Montessori principals and philosophies to her students by attending conferences and workshops offered by AMS.
